Fynn Powell
"Being out in the mountains has always inspired me. It helps keep me grounded and is part of how I express myself—it's become a part of who I am."

Fynn Powell grew up on the North Island of New Zealand, putting on skis for the first time at just two years old and spending his childhood exploring the mountains of Tongariro National Park with his twin brother. He started out ski racing but quickly found himself drawn to natural terrain and anything he could launch off. A few seasons with his local freestyle club introduced him to freeride competitions—and that was the spark that set his path.
High school years were a blur of chasing winters between Canada and New Zealand, and now Fynn splits his time between Canada, Europe, and home in the Southern Alps. For him, skiing is more than a sport—it’s a way to stay grounded, express creativity, and explore the limitless possibilities of the mountains. Fynn approaches every slope with an open mind and a hunger for adventure.
Off the slopes you’ll find him hiking, working on cars, or spending time with family. Next up? His first season on the Freeride World Tour and filming projects to share the magic of big mountain skiing.
